More Stock Images on the Way

What a difference a day makes! Yesterday's weather relegated a Cimarrona Hat Company photo shoot to an indoor shoot utilizing our dark "den" to make it look like a coffee shop.

A few pots of coffee and anything is possible!

Today, of course, here in Texas at least the sun has come out for the first time in about a week. It may not last, but at least it was back for a day.

Be on the lookout for some stock images culled from the shoot as well as new Cimarrona Hat images.

Stock images can be found on iStockPhoto, Dreamstime and last and least Fotolia. Soon, images will also appear on Bigstockphoto.

It's difficult to know how much impact these microstock sites will have, but therir presence is undeniable and they are generating quite a buzz.

Stop Swimming Ducks


Weather suitable only for ducks - and newspaper photographers! Sent out to look for "wild art" as it is still called, Gary Payne of the Denton Record Chronicle whips out the long glass - a 400 f.2.8 (600 actually) - to get in on some ducks in the fog of North Lakes Park.

RIDE ALONG

Went on a "ride along" with Gary Payne of the DRC, a local newspaper, yesterday.
We were on the search for weather features, but there were few to be found as people were already staying in and away from the ice and rain.

The weather has given me the time to bring the new shannon drawe photography site up to speed, and finally go live with it - for real. Remember this is the site where I now present my Dallas Corporate Photography section, and my Dallas Editorial Photography as well as the Fresh category which showcases my freshest work generated in recent days and weeks.

Look for a new shoot based on a location I found while riding shotgun with Gary - you'll probably know it when you see it.
