Live from Port Aransas

Port Aransas - A true visual surprise was what came from my family weekend about 450 miles from home here on the Texas Gulf Coast at Port Aransas.

There was not nearly enough time to dig for deep people stories, but there was time to relax and see what I was missing by not being coastal anymore.

I found it difficult to believe the surf was up to about four feet and the long boarders were hogging waves from beyond the pier, while short board shredding was nowhere to be seen.

I need to spend some more time here to build some more stock images, but what I do have should be appearing on the micro sites soon.

New Site Coming Along

For those of you who have not yet visited ShannonDrawe.com yet, please take a look at the site. We will begin to drive traffic there next week with optimization and PPC programs. The new site marks a new era where the more corporate side will be distinctly represented, and will be removed from this site very soon.

Headed for the beach for New Year's and anticipating coming back with some images from that adventure.

Meanwhile, due to the huge success of sombrero hat stock image, I took the liberty of shooting some more sombreros yesterday. Joe Galaviz was kind enough to lend me some sombreros right off the walls of his restaurant Casa Galaviz. I guess you will never know unless you ask.

Bastrop and Back - It's a Gas Gas Gas (Well)

Grabbed a sunset shot of a typical north Texas scene - a natural gas workover rig. These new landmarks are springing up everywhere they are allowed to including this one right off I35-W just outside Denton. I am thinking the real power source is what's lighting the well from behind ... your thoughts?
