Take it all off Baby!

ABC's Nightline did a follow up of the Wall Street Journal's article on how brides are taking it all off for the photographer in a newly identified wedding photography trend.
The Nightline segment, placed titillatingly, at the end of Friday June 30, broadcast identified the evolving trends such as; brides are now getting married older than before, the virgin bride is a thing of the past and couples are calling the "shots" now that they are paying for their own weddings.

The segment included an interview with Steven Gross and short spot by Regeti saying she has generated more than 20-thousand in sales from pre wedding day boudoir style photography. Joe Buissink's images were also featured and included dressing shots of Jessica Simpson.

Is this a new ground zero for photographers like the famous and oft imitated and recently copied images of Demi Moore's famous pregnancy images gracing Vanity Fair? Only time will tell, but before this trend made headlines, I had determined that in order to get a better document of the day - I really want(ed) to be there while brides get dressed. If you are known for tasteless photography, then you can expect to be rebuffed if you try and edge your way into a dressing scene. However, if your reputation for sensitivity and taste precedes you, then perhaps access becomes more easy and trust more readily given.

Of course it is all up to the individual but in a future post I will show how I see one bride and I approached this subject matter. I have heard more than one bride shout to their bride's maids, "It's ok! It's nothing he's never seen before - have you Shannon?!"

Controlled Freeflow of Photographic Megabits

I know "controlled freeflow" is an oxymoron, but this site may end up being just that. Personal and impersonal. Professional and amateur. Brilliantly ingnorant. That will be up to all those who choose to jump through the hoops to be able to post.
